‘Walai’ is the twisted, indignant and introspective follow-up to the 2022 politically-charged single ‘Human Reciprocator’. ‘Walai’ is a collaboration between Band Spectra (aka disabled musician Robert Manning) and musician / producer Olugbenga (aka Olugbenga Adelekan).

‘Walai’ was inspired by various Death From Above Records alumni, infusing electronic techniques with soulful rock aesthetics; alternately, with Leo Abrahams (Self, Brian Eno) on guitar and Nathan Curran (Basement Jaxx, Roxy Music) on drums, ‘Walai’ moves faster, heavier, noisier and more intensely than the noted influences. ‘Walai’ is the second single to be taken from Band Spectra’s forthcoming debut album.
